Orange peel body scrub

How often does it happen that someone not only gladly shares her skincare secret with you but also happily, readily let you blog about it💖...so rare, right! For such generosity, kindness and selflessness, I owe this post to Nitu Gitanjali. She got this amazing body scrub recipe from her mother so this blog is rightly dedicated to her mother Mrs Sashi Kala Sahoo.

When the days are gloomy and stormy, make a genuine effort to distract yourself and invest some of your time in what's gonna stay with you the longest - a happy, healthy skin. To help you with that, here I'm with my new crush... 😊

Ingredients:

Orange peel powder - orange peel dried and powdered

Besan (gram flour/chickpea flour)

Milk

Turmeric - just a pinch and not more!

Orange peel powder is indeed, the magic ingredient in this body scrub. All the other ingredients are same as I had mentioned before in my 'homemade face pack' blog. Quick link to the earlier post is here: https://www.styleshinewithruchi.com/post/besan-gram-flour-face-pack

How to use:

Mix all the ingredients and make a thick paste. When the skin is nicely wet, apply the paste all over and scrub the dead skin away. Rub gently in circular motions for few seconds in each area. Rinse it off and after bath, deeply moisturize the skin.

Enjoy the heavenly aroma of orange peel throughout the day and super refreshed, ultra soft skin for days together. 😃

Benefits:

The peel of the orange has anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties, making it a great natural ingredient to treat acne, unclog pores and reduce blackheads. Orange peel powder also contains Vitamin C which helps to form collagen and elastic- the secret to beautiful, youthful and bright skin. Also does wonders for pigmentation.

Milk contains retinol, a known anti-aging and skin-restoring antioxidant.

Besan also helps to fight acne by controlling excess sebum production and soothes inflamed skin.

Turmeric is known as the king of the spices, has soothing properties, protects against sun burn and aging.

This body scrub is good for both men & women and can be used 1-2 times in a week. Over-exfoliation can lead to irritation of the skin.

Disclaimer: Like any other skin and face product, do a patch test first. Test on one small part of the body. If you've had skin issues or super sensitive skin, talk to your dermatologist first. These tips can never and in no way, replace or substitute a doctor's advise or medication.

A perfect skincare routine for silky smooth and soothing skin in a snap!

Stay deliciously fragnant!
